Only a few minutes from the heart of Nicosia, Nuovo is one of the hippest clubs for young people looking to have fun and a simple yet classic cocktail. Although externally it looks extremely small, once you descend the stairs, you find yourself standing in a whole new place. Dark flooring and dim lighting are the backdrop, while gentle colourful lights or more abrupt glowing white ones start shooting around you.

Internally, the club has two floors and despite the fact it’s huge, it’s always crowded. The bottom floor is equipped with a large dance floor, two bars and big speakers, bursting with great tunes. The bartenders are always polite and have been trained to serve quickly the large numbers of people filling the shiny counters. The top floor has a VIP section on Saturdays known as Nuovo Gold, for those who want to enjoy the same music, but with more space and exclusivity. Another bar can be found there, which serves the club’s most demanding customers. As for the decor, Nuovo is known for updating their style every year during the summer months, when they are closed, usually choosing large, impressive chandeliers, dark wallpaper and comfortable couches for those who want to catch their breath.

There is a vast variety of music genres playing on the decks, ranging from R’n’B and Hip-Hop to Pop and even Dubstep, with various DJs frequently making guest appearances. Famous Greek, Cypriot and international singers, rappers and MCs perform their new songs just for the lively crowd. Fridays are usually R’n’B nights, with the DJ playing music very similar to that of American clubs. Almost every week there is a different theme to the club, such as Candy Night, for which free candy floss and lollipops are handed out to everyone or Old School Night during which only the best 90s & 00s Hip Hop tracks are heard. From time to time there are outfit themes, such as The All White Dress Party. All these successfully aim to exhilarate regular patrons and lure new ones in.

At Nuovo you can find all kinds of classic alcoholic drinks and of course non-alcoholic beverages. There is usually an Open Bar, so the price of the drinks is included in the fee that you pay for your entrance, which is usually about €15, if there is no particular event. If there is, the price remains the same for women but increases €5 for men.
