European Ocarina Project to promote traditional culture

THE EUROPEAN Ocarina Project, bringing together musicians and dancers, meet in Cyprus this year to present three unique events open to the public.The project includes musicians and dancers from Portugal, Cyprus, the UK, Sweden and Romania.The first performance will take place tonight at 6.30pm at the Ayios Ioannis Lampadistis Cultural Centre in Kalopanayiotis, where musicians will present their countries’ traditional instruments. Tomorrow at 6.30pm, the participating countries will meet at the Archontiko Ierodiakonou in Ayios Omologites, where they will present dance workshops as well as performing with traditional instruments... 2 comments

THE HISTORIC Apostolos Andreas monastery at the tip of the Karpass peninsula must be very close to collapsing for our political and church leaders to have given their go-ahead to the carrying out of restoration work.
