Planning amnesty extended
THE HOUSE yesterday extended a deadline for people to declare their intention to obtain a town planning amnesty.The amnesty, voted through in March last year aims to sort the problem of an estimated 130,000 pending title deeds. A deadline was set for the end of the week for people to lodge their intention and get 20 per cent shaved off their fees. Those who had not met the deadline would still have an additional year to apply but would only get 10 per cent off.After the end of the grace period, people would be forced to either fix irregularities or demolish the building, the Interior Minister at the time, Neoclis Sylikiotis said in February... 5 comments
