Police were investigating on Saturday after a hand grenade and TNT explosive were found in Aglandjia.
The explosives were discovered around 9pm on Friday by officers in a carton box inside a plastic bag that was in a garbage skip located in a public place.
Police cordoned off the scene while specialised members of the force examined the items.
The explosives were disarmed and received for further examinations.
