Police on Saturday warned members of the public of a new electronic scam concerning emails on the arrival of a parcel at the post office for the receiver of the message.

According to the police, the scammers, send email messages allegedly from the post office informing people they have parcels in their name and calling on them to confirm a link provided in the email.

“Members of the public are asked not to reply to the messages or to activate the electronic link (Package dispatch confirmation), as they risk being charged,” police said.
