Many nations have used masks for ceremonial purposes… did you know that at 12-16 feet tall and several feet wide, the Igbo ijele mask is one of the largest such masks made in Africa?
But masks can also be simply items of fun. They’re great for any time you want to craft a costume, such as for carnival or Halloween, or use as a cool decorative item.
That’s why, in this video, kids will learn how to make a papier-mache mask of their own.
