A record half a million people pledged to eat only vegan food in January 2021, according to non-profit Veganuary. The reasons for joining the initiative have included health, animal rights and concern for impact on the environment.
But as this video attests… some athletes have also been choosing to fuel up on plants and follow a vegan diet to help boost their performance and recovery.
