In a new interview with ‘Variety’, Nicole Kidman opened up about being cast as Lucille Ball in the upcoming film, ‘Being the Ricardos’. The film was written and will be directed by Aaron Sorkin, and Javier Bardem is in talks to play Desi Arnaz.

Fans previously took to social media to weigh in on the casting decision, with many suggesting that Debra Messing would be a better fit for the role.

But Lucille and Desi’s daughter, Lucie Arnaz, took to Facebook to say she was happy with the choice to cast Nicole, and she thinks fans will be, too.
