Due to the prevailing winter weather conditions, the roads from Palaichori to Agros and from Prodromos to Troodos are closed to traffic, police reported on Wednesday morning.

According to the announcement, the following are open only to four-wheel drives and vehicles with snow chains:

Palaichori – Askas

Fterikoudi – Platanistasa – Alonas

Polystypos – Lagoudera

Pinewood – Pedoulas

Pedoulas – Moutoullas

Pedoulas – Prodromous

Prodromos- Platres

Prodromos – Lemythos

The road from Kakopetria to Karvounas and the road to Kalopanagiotis are open but slippery.

Sections of the Paphos – Limassol motorway, especially the area from the Konia roundabout to ​​Koloni,, are also slippery due to frost.

Temperatures will peak at 9C inland, 11C in coastal areas and -1C in the mountains on Wednesday. At night they are expected to drop to 3C around Nicosia, 6C near the sea and -6 in Troodos.

Some more snow in the mountains has been forecast for the morning, and rain in other areas.
