Unknown assailants threw a hand grenade at a residential house in Strovolos, Nicosia, on Friday afternoon, the police press office confirmed to the Cyprus Mail.

The hand grenade did not explode and pyrotechnic experts are at the scene.

A motive for the incident is not yet clear, but police investigations are ongoing and more details are expected shortly.
