Music exec Simon Cowell wants to convince all five former One Direction members to get back together again, after never-before-seen selfies of the band surfaced this week.

Often credited as the force behind the creation of the band, Cowell is hopeful about their reunion.

“I think it will happen. If they got together, whether it’s making records again or touring, it would be the most amazing thing,” said Cowell, in an interview with Mirror Online this week.

“If I could get into a room with them and just say, ‘You know what, whether it’s six months or something, I think you’d have such a great time’ – maybe I could persuade them,” he added.
