Cyprus has sent the largest package of humanitarian aid in its history to the people of Ukraine, the ministry of foreign affairs announced on Tuesday night.
The announcement was made at the Ukraine Solidarity Conference, which took place in Paris, where Cyprus was represented by Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ioannis Kasoulidis.
The conference in Paris was held with the aim of the international community proceeding with immediate provision of assistance to the Ukrainian population, as Ukraine faces serious energy and infrastructure problems.
It is noted that countries gathered at the conference pledged aid of around one billion euros to help the war-torn country this winter.
