The latest series of British reality television show The Only Way Is Essex has been filmed in Cyprus.
The series, a mammoth 34th in total, which is set to hit television screens on August 25, was filmed at the Cap St Georges Hotel & Resort in Paphos.
Rebecca Kenny-Smith, director of programming at the show’s production company Lime Pictures, said she is “thrilled” to see the show returning to Cyprus.
She added that there will be “sun-soaked episodes brimming with drama” on the island.
“Prepare for an unforgettable journey packed with sizzling suspense, romance, juicy gossip, and all the glamour that fans adore! This is a series you won’t want to miss,” she said.
The show first aired in 2010 and has been described as showing “real people in modified situations, saying unscripted lines but in a structured way.”
At its peak in the early and mid-2010s, more than a million people were tuning in to each episode, though viewing figures have since waned to an average of 125,000 in series 30, which was aired last year.
The show launched the careers of popular British media personalities including Gemma Collins, Joey Essex, and Mark Wright
