Transitioning from being a summer festival, the 19th edition of AglanJazz will take place in autumn this year. Usually, the jazz festival would present two evenings of live performances in July.

In 2024 however, the festival will move a little further down the calendar and take place on October 15 and 16, again featuring music groups from Cyprus and abroad. As preparations are underway, the Municipality of Nicosia is inviting musicians to send in their proposals through an Open Call.

Professional musicians and musical groups based in Cyprus are invited to submit their proposals for participation in the festival no later than Tuesday, August 27. Applications can be sent via email directly to [email protected] (Tel: 22 797695).

Applications should include the band’s profile, a description of the work to be presented, a presentation of the band members, samples of work and contact information. A number of participants will be selected who will be offered artist fees, professional technical equipment, professional video recording, photos and promotion.

Details of the festival will be revealed closer to the dates as the municipality confirms the final details. One thing is certain – another two evenings of diverse jazz genres will be held as the weather starts to cool.
