A hand grenade was thrown and exploded on the front porch of a house in Limassol, police said.
The owner of the house in the Tsirio area, a 63-year-old woman was not injured in the blast.
The incident occurred just before 1am, police said, though it appeared the occupant hadn’t noticed. She reported the damage to police shortly after 7am on Friday morning.
A police pyrotechnician determined from the evidence that the explosion had been caused by a hand grenade.
The amount of damage is yet to be calculated, police said.
