A Paphos man was on Sunday remanded in police custody for three days on suspicion of stealing mobile phones from a shop in Paphos and receiving stolen goods.

According to police, between November 26 and December 3, a number of mobile phones were stolen from an electronics store in Paphos.

Evidence was collected against two men aged 32 and 22 for illegally selling stolen mobiles.

Arrest warrants were issued against both of them.

The younger man was arrested on Friday morning and was taken to Paphos district court on the same day which ordered his five-day remand.

At lunchtime on Saturday, the older man was found by police officers and arrested.

He was taken to Paphos district court on Sunday, which issued a three-day remand order.
