Cyta on Friday announced that it will adopt digital identity verification through the government’s Digital Citizen application
This new service will start on December 23, 2024, with Cyta saying that this is “a modern and efficient identification process for its customers”.
“The new feature allows customers to identify themselves easily and securely, speeding up their service at Cyta stores while enabling them to enjoy the advantages of technology,” the company said.
Spyros Christofides, Cyta’s Customer Experience Director, higlighted the company’s commitment to enhancing customer transactions.
“We are listening carefully to our customers’ needs for simpler and more modern transactions,” he said.
“The acceptance of digital identity is a natural evolution that responds to our times and enhances the speed and ease of service for our customers,” he added.
To ensure a seamless transition, Cyta said that its staff “have been fully trained to verify and recognise digital documents, guaranteeing both reliability and efficiency in every transaction”.
