A theatrical performance in Greek featuring 11 actors will be presented in all cities this March. This grand production by Satiriko Theatre and Alpha Square is currently on at the Nicosia theatre every Saturday and Sunday and is preparing for a tour across all cities from March 11 to 13.

The Winslow Boy was written by one of the most celebrated playwrights of the 20th century, Terence Rattigan. Inspired by real courtroom events in England, the 1946 play follows the desperate efforts of a father to clear his son’s name after the boy is expelled from the Royal Naval College for allegedly stealing a five-shilling postal order. It is a two-year battle waged by a family, just before the 1914–1918 war, to restore its reputation and the price they pay in the pursuit of justice. As the country prepares for war, all of London becomes consumed with the case of the fourteen-year-old boy.

For the second time, Satiriko Theatre and Alpha Square join forces – following their production of A German Life, which travelled to Athens and Berlin – for a performance on Satiriko’s Central Stage: Varnavas Kyriazis, Erika Begeti, Sotiris Mestanas, Christina Marouchou, Ioanna Siafkali, Thanasis Drakopoulos, Dimitris Gkoutzamanis, Stavros Chatzandrian, Navsika Apostratou, Alexandros Chrysanthou and young Konstantinos Georgiou.

The Winslow Boy is a family-friendly play, making its Panhellenic premiere in a translation and direction by Andreas Araouzos, with set and costume design by Giorgos Giannou, original music by Dimitris Zachariou, and lighting design by Vasilis Peteinaris.

It will reach Larnaca audiences on March 11, performing at the Larnaca Municipal Theatre, Limassol audiences on the following evening at Pattihio Municipal Theatre and finally Paphos theatre fans on March 13 at Markideio Municipal Theatre.
