An exhibition coming to Larnaca as March arrives, brings together the works of Anastasia Potekhina and Gerald Gezett Zoerner. The Double Vision exhibition will be hosted at the House of Art and Letters in Larnaca from March 19.
The exhibition showcases how the two artists come together, presenting different yet complementary views on photography. Their displayed artworks are “an invitation to viewers to embark on a fascinating journey into the world of photography and human kindness: two artists from different parts of Europe – Germany and Cyprus – explore various facets of the human ‘I’ using their unique artistic approaches,” say organisers.
Zoerner from Berlin will present five series of photos, each consisting of three images. They depict actions or dance movements photographed without interruption at three or five images per second to keep the flow.
Potekhin, who recently represented Cyprus at Artiade – the Olympics of Art in New York, exhibits her self-portraits and invites viewers into an intimate world created through reflections and shadows. Her themes explore identity and the relationship with the environment.
The exhibition will donate 50 per cent of proceeds raised to The Little Heroes Foundation, supporting children with cancer and leukaemia.
