Police in Paphos district overnight carried out 50 car stops, 30 searches, and 25 pedestrian searches in a coordinated operation, spokesman for the force Michalis Nikolaou said on Thursday.
During the operation police arrested a 24-year-old man for possession of 18 grams of cannabis and a precision scale.
Furthermore, a 38-year-old driver was arrested for possession of a half-smoked cigarette, measuring 6.5cm in length, containing tobacco and cannabis.
Additionally, a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old minor with a 16-year-old passenger was stopped. The youth was caught driving without a licence or insurance, and the vehicle had been declared immobilised.
Elsewhere, another driver was arrested for possession of offensive instruments.
The police carried out the coordinated operation between 7pm and midnight, Nikolaou said.
