Paphos criminal court will pass sentence next week on man who on Tuesday admitted to the charge of manslaughter after shooting his brother-in-law in July.
The 50-year-old will be sentenced on March 13.
He has been kept in custody since July 3 when he shot his 43-year-old brother-in-law Stylianos Stylianou dead.
The 50-year-old also admitted to the charge of illegal possession and transportation of explosives.
On July 3 last year, Stylianou and other relatives were dining together in Peyia when an argument erupted. The dispute escalated into a physical altercation, prompting others at the table to step in and separate Stylianou and his borther-in-law.
The 50-year-old left the scene but returned shortly after, armed with a gun.
He was accused of fatally shooting his brother-in-law before fleeing.
Authorities arrested him in the early hours of July 4.
