Wine lovers and nature enthusiasts, mark your calendars for March 15. An afternoon of discovery and flavour awaits on Saturday at the Episkopi Environmental Centre in Paphos as a workshop explores winemaking and the natural environment. And it is an event in English!

Experienced agriculturist and viticulture expert George Gkenos (MSc) will unpack the fascinating relationship between soil, climate and human influence in winemaking. Ever wondered how changing weather patterns are shaping the taste of our local wines? This engaging session will explore how vineyards adapt and evolve, affecting the fruit, the harvest and ultimately, the glass in your hand.

But theory is just the beginning. The workshop will transform into a wine tasting experience as a guided tasting tour through the Ezousa Valley wineries takes place. George will introduce the concept of terroir through the lens of each wine’s unique character. Carefully paired nibbles will complement each pour, enhancing the experience which will last from 5pm until late.

Throughout the event, there will be time for a Q&A while guests sip, smell, savour and deepen their appreciation for the intricate craft of viticulture.
