Larnaca is currently serving as the scenic backdrop for the Irish travel series Téacs Taistil (which translates as “Travel Text”), with a filming crew capturing Cyprus’ charm for the show’s fourth season.

“The coordination of the production in Larnaca was carried out in collaboration with the Larnaca Tourism Board (Etap), with the aim of promoting the city and surrounding region,” the crew said.

In the episode, the series’ three presenters will explore the area through activities that highlight “the authenticity and diversity of the region,” including halloumi-making, wine tasting, museum visits, and water sports.

Targeted at a young, adventurous audience aged 20 to 35, Téacs Taistil combines cultural content with an entertaining, accessible format. The crew added that highlights of the trip would also be shared via the show’s active social media accounts.

The production also partnered with the Cyprus campus of the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan), involving a local media student in the filming to encourage local engagement.

Larnaca is one of six cities to be featured in the fourth season of Téacs Taistil. Other filming locations include Toronto, Chicago, Wisconsin, Rhodes, and Bucharest.

Etap said the new season will be broadcast on Irish channel TG4 in April 2026.
