The final weekend of May brings with it an array of festivals and events as we welcome a new month this Sunday. The summer festival season is officially here! Read on to discover what to do this Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday!
Thursday
To launch us into a fun-filled weekend, renowned UK comedian Russell Peters will host a stand-up show in Nicosia this Thursday. His Cyprus appearance will be for one night only, on the stage of the Eleftheria Sports Arena where he will present his Relax World Tour. The show starts at 8pm and a few tickets are left.
Also happening on Thursday is a concert of the 24th International Pharos Chamber Music Festival. Until May 31, invited international musicians will perform live at the Royal Manor House in Kouklia, with a closing concert at Delikopos’ The Olive Grove on June 1. Tonight, seven acclaimed musicians will perform Brahms, Mozart and Schumann.
Friday
On Friday, the last Fork Food market before the summer break will take place once again at the Nicosia Municipal Gardens. From 7pm onwards, street food vendors will set up their stalls, serving sizzling and refreshing meals from world cuisines, including vegetarian, meat-based and dessert options.
In Pera Oreinis village in the Nicosia district, the 7th Cyprus International Accordion Festival will kick off on Friday with exhibitions and seminars. Throughout the weekend, concerts, workshops for children and adults, storytelling sessions, village walks and community activities will entertain visitors.
Limassol too will welcome a festival this weekend as the Summer Dance Festival returns and activates public urban spaces in the city with performances. All of the events are free and open to all and run from early morning to late in the evening.

Saturday
Back in Nicosia, Saturday will be a big day for the LBGTQIA+ community and its allies as the annual Pride March 2025 happens. Once again, a big celebration will take place at the Nicosia Municipal Gardens with activities starting at 2pm. The march will begin at 6.30pm and embark on a march through downtown Nicosia. Once back at the Gardens at 7.30pm, a party will commence with artists, DJs and live performances.
Also in downtown Nicosia, is a wine-tasting event organised by the Lions Club Nicosia Within the Walls, OinouArt and Nicosia Municipality. Over 20 local wineries and winemakers will gather in Eleftheria Square to showcase Cypriot wine production while visitors browse and taste their wines. The Nicosia Supports Cypriot Wine event also aims to raise money for the Agios Kasianos elementary school.
The 1st Scala Vinyl Fair will bring together music lovers, vinyl enthusiasts and beyond this Saturday. Held at the Sunmoon Creative Space from 2.30pm, the fair will be a space to sell, trade, buy or swap vinyl but also CDs, cassettes, speakers and turntables. Vinyl DJs will be setting the mood while Filomena Pizzaria Napoletana will be serving freshly-baked doughy pizzas.
Sunday
Sunday’s events take us to Technopolis 20 in Paphos for the Garden Opening event which will have Macumba perform live Latin Jazz and world music bringing Afro-Cuban, Brazilian and modern sounds blended together. In Kato Drys, the Bee & Embroidery Museum will host the open day The Golden Thread of Cyprus – A Silk Journey through Embroidery and Memory, an event that is all about traditional silk handicraft and its women artists.
