The Paphos Flute Choir, composed of young talents aged eight to 18, and members of the Cyprus Youth Symphony Orchestra’s woodwind ensemble join their musical talents and invite audiences to a unique concert on June 10 in the beautiful garden of Technopolis 20 in Paphos.
Under the artistic direction of Savvas Christodoulou, the evening’s programme will include well-known and beloved pieces. Some of them are Georges Bizet’s Carmen Suite, Astor Piazzolla’s evocative tangos, Gabriel Fauré’s elegant Pavane, as well as selections from famous film scores including The Lord of the Rings, Pirates of the Caribbean, and a lively Disney medley — along with a few musical surprises to delight the audience.
The Paphos Flute Choir was founded in September 2024 by flutist and flute instructor Savvas Christodoulou to develop and promote music through the magical sounds of the flute. The ensemble consists of flutists of various ages and skill levels, dedicated to fostering group musicianship, showcasing flute ensemble repertoire, and actively participating in cultural events in Paphos and beyond.
If all that sounds exciting and something you want to be a part of, auditions for new members of the Paphos Flute Choir will take place towards the end of the month. Mark your calendars for June 30, at Technopolis for a chance to join the choir.
