A car belonging to a 33-year-old woman went up in flames in the early hours of Tuesday in Larnaca, with police investigations pointing to arson.

Larnaca police spokesman Christodoulos Konsolos said officers found traces of flammable material at the scene.

The fire started at around 2.40am, causing extensive damage to the car, which was parked outside the woman’s house.

The fire department extinguished the blaze and the area has been cordoned off for investigations.
