Tuesday started off with low clouds and mist inland and along the coast, which is set to gradually clear until the afternoon, when clouds will form over the mountains.
The morning mist caused traffic jams on the Kofinou-Larnaca motorway and in the broader Kofinou area, until around 8.30am when it subsided.
Winds will be a variable gentle breeze of 3 Beaufort, to gradually turn to a southwest to northwest gentle to moderate breeze of 3 to 4 Beaufort over slight seas.
Temperatures will reach 38C inland, 29C along the coast and 28C in the highest mountains.
Tuesday evening will be mainly clear with low clouds and mist forming mainly along the coast.
Winds will be a northwest to northeast gentle breeze of 3 Beaufort, over slight seas.
Temperatures will drop to 18C inland and in the highest mountains, and 20C along the coast.
Wednesday, Thursday and Friday will be mainly fine, with low clouds and mist in the early morning.
Temperatures will remain over the seasonal average.
