A 47-year-old man was arrested in Limassol on Wednesday after police found a large quantity of duty-free tobacco products and €22,105 in cash.

At around 8.30am, police officers searched the suspect’s house and found 337 cartons of 200 cigarettes each, 62 cartons of 200 heated cigarettes each, 64.3kg of rolling tobacco and 44kg of nargileh tobacco.

All products and the cash were confiscated.

The suspect will be taken before the Limassol district court on Thursday for a remand order.
