With a strong delegation of nine members, BPW Cyprus participated actively in the tripartite programme of the BPW Europe Regional Conference held in Malta. The programme included the “Breaking Barriers: Drive your own success” Conference, the meeting of European Presidents and the 12th Young BPW Symposium.

The Cypriot delegation enhanced its international presence through interventions, workshops and targeted networking, reaffirming the recognition BPW Cyprus has earned at the European level. Both the longstanding work of the Cyprus Federation of Business and Professional Women and its recent initiatives – such as participation in the UN Commission on the Status of Women (CSW) in New York and the successful organisation of the sixth BPW Mediterranean Symposium – were key points of reference during the Conference.

Equally significant was the presence of five Young BPW members who actively contributed to thematic panels and workshops of the Young BPW Symposium, ably representing the next generation of leadership. In addition, two members of the English-Speaking Club BPW ESC, Elena Andreou and Christina Tzini, led workshops that were met with a strong response.

BPW Cyprus President Tasia Giannara Gallouridou, expressed her appreciation for the chance given to the island’s delegation to participate in the high-level gathering.

“Malta provided yet another opportunity for us to present the voice and work of BPW Cyprus to a European audience. The active involvement of our delegation and the impact of our contributions confirm that our work is meaningful and recognised. We continue with faith, consistency and vision,” she said.

BPW Cyprus remains steadfast in its commitment to empowering women in the economy, politics and society, both nationally and internationally, promoting the Cypriot model of positive action and collaboration.
