A 54-year-old was discovered with burns on his body in a field off of Eleonas avenue in Strovolos on Tuesday morning and later succumbed to his injuries. The circumstances of his death remain unclear.

Local media on Tuesday afternoon reported that the man died at around 10am as a result of his injuries.

A formal statement from the police is yet to be issued.
