Salamis Lines Ltd, part of Salamis Organisation, has signed a Memorandum of Agreement for the purchase of a new RO/RO vessel as part of its broader plan to expand and modernise its commercial fleet. 

According to the company, the vessel was built in Germany in 2002, measures 193 metres in length and offers a capacity of 3,200 linear metres.

It is expected to be delivered within the year and will sail under the Cypriot flag with the name “PATRIS”.

The company noted that the acquisition falls “within the framework of the continuous upgrade of the company’s commercial fleet, but also to better serve the needs of the commercial world”, linking the purchase to growing regional demand and its ongoing fleet-renewal strategy.
