An event for music lovers, musicians and producers is coming up in early December as Nama Dama and Alex Tomb present their latest collaboration with new remix EP Aperantos: Reimagined.
Set to be released on November 28, the two artists invite the public to celebrate the occasion through an evening that is dedicated to the creative process. A listening session of the new work, a live set by Nama Dama and an open discussion will take place on December 4.
Held in the upper space of Picnic, Nicosia, the discussion will include a conversation with the artists, who will talk about the making of the EP and the importance of creative connections between different local music scenes. Then, live music will follow.
DJ and producer Alex Tomb takes the original stems of Nama Dama’s track Aperantos from her debut album, Pagan Soul, and transforms them into a remix EP that unfolds multiple facets of the same theme.
Guiding the listener on a journey through different sonic landscapes, from atmospheric to intense, this endeavour demonstrates how a single composition can evolve through reinterpretation.
Aperantos: Reimagined is a testament to the creative exchange between artist and producer, breathing new life into the original piece.
