The Cyprus Stock Exchange (CSE) on Friday announced the scheduling of online oral interviews for executives seeking certification as stock exchange representatives for remote members.

The Council of the Exchange confirmed that the virtual sessions will take place on March 16, 2026, for professionals active in Investment Services Firms (ISFs) that hold membership in an organised market of a Member State.

This process applies specifically to firms where the Council deems that the trading and clearing rules are substantially the same as those of the Cyprus Stock Exchange.

Eligible candidates must currently be active within ISFs that are members or are seeking to become members of the local exchange to join the special representative registers.

Executives intending to participate must submit a written request via email to [email protected] no later than March 6, 2026, using the subject line “Participation in oral examination”.

Applicants are required to provide a copy of their identity card alongside evidence of professional competence certificates issued by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission or the Hellenic Exchanges.

The invitation also extends to certified persons authorised to provide at least one specific investment service, such as the execution of orders on behalf of clients or dealing on own account.

Portfolio management, the provision of investment advice, and the underwriting of financial instruments with or without a firm commitment basis are also included in the qualifying criteria.

Candidates must pay a prescribed fee of €90 to the CSE at the time of their written application to cover the costs of the examination process.

Payments can be deposited into the official accounts of the Cyprus Stock Exchange held at the Bank of Cyprus or Eurobank Cyprus using the provided IBAN details.

The examination will focus on specific regulatory areas, including transaction rules and technical issues related to trading on CSE markets.

Candidates will also be tested on the Regulatory Decision of the Council regarding Exchange Members and the Code of Conduct for Members as established under Article 39 of the Cyprus Securities and Stock Exchange Laws.

For further details regarding the certification, the CSE advised interested parties to contact the Market and Listing Department by telephone.

In a separate update, the Cyprus Stock Exchange announced that it has concluded the processing of results for the written examinations held on December 16, 2025.

These results pertain to individuals interested in being certified as possessing the necessary qualifications for registration in the special lists of stock exchange representatives.

The examination process was conducted in accordance with Paragraph 11.5 of the Council Decision, and the final outcomes have now been communicated to the participants.
