The board of directors of the Cyprus Shipping Chamber on Friday met with Shipping Deputy Minister Marina Hadjimanolis during a working lunch, in order to discuss the strategic direction of the country’s maritime sector.
According to an announcement by the chamber, the meeting provided a platform for the maritime industry leadership to engage in high-level dialogue regarding the most pressing issues currently facing the Cyprus shipping industry.
During the working lunch, participants reviewed various proposals and suggestions aimed at the further development of the sector.
A primary focus of the discussion involved identifying specific ways to enhance the competitiveness of Cyprus shipping on a global scale.
In its statement, the chamber expressed its gratitude to the deputy minister “for the constructive discussion” that took place throughout the afternoon.
Recognition was also given to her “continuous support for the industry” as well as “her personal dedication” to the productive, collaborative relationship with the chamber.
