Seven people were arrested for offences including driving without a licence, ignoring a uniformed officer’s instructions, traffic violations, illegal employment, and unlawful residency on Thursday night, police said on Friday.

Police conducted organised patrols across urban areas, stopping 234 vehicles, checking 274 drivers and passengers, and inspecting 29 premises, resulting in three complaints for operating without permits.

Traffic checks led to 91 complaints, including 47 for speeding, four traffic cases, one alcohol-related complaint and the seizure of one vehicle.

Operations aim to prevent crime, maintain public order, and enhance community safety, police said.
