The “security threat” which was declared at the United Kingdom’s Akrotiri air force base was declared to have passed shortly before 10.15am.
Sirens had sounded shortly before 10am, with local residents being informed of a “security threat” and urged to “remain indoors and stay in place until further official notice”.
They were also told to “move away from windows and take cover behind or beneath substantial, solid furniture“.
Throughout the week, multiple “security threats” have been declared at Akrotiri, following a drone strike on the base shortly after midnight on Monday.
Since Monday, all declared “security threats” have concluded within minutes of their announcement.
