A 41-year-old man was arrested after a drink-driving collision in Nicosia early on Tuesday, police said.
The crash happened at around 3.40am on Tseriou avenue when the man’s car collided with a vehicle driven by a 45-year-old woman, under circumstances still under investigation.
Both vehicles suffered minor damage.
The woman was taken by ambulance to Nicosia general hospital, where she received treatment and was later discharged.
Police said the woman tested negative for alcohol.
The man failed a breath test, recording 83µg, above the legal limit of 22µg.
He was taken into custody and is due to appear before Nicosia district court later on Tuesday.
Nicosia traffic police are continuing their investigation.
