The Christodoula March 2026 will take place on Saturday, April 18, simultaneously in all cities across Cyprus, the Cyprus anti-cancer society said.
In a statement, the organisation described the march as the largest and most recognisable cancer awareness and support campaign on the island, now entering its 51st year.
“The Christodoula March continues to unite society around the values of solidarity, contribution and human presence,” it said.
The march will begin at 3.30pm in all towns and cities.
April has also been designated as a month dedicated to the work of the organisation, with a series of fundraising drives and awareness activities planned nationwide.
Fundraising efforts will begin with a street collection on April 2, followed by additional campaigns and events throughout the month.
Proceeds from the march and related activities will contribute to maintaining and expanding the society’s services, including inpatient care at the Arodafnousa palliative care centre, nationwide home medical and nursing care, psychological and social support services, as well as prevention and awareness programmes.
The society’s executive director Maria Ioannidou highlighted the importance of public participation, stressing that the essence of the march lies in showing support and solidarity to those in need.
“The Christodoula March is a powerful reminder that through collective action and contribution, society can stand by those who need it, with respect, care and humanity,” she said.
