ERB Asfalistiki boosts fire training with new simulator

ERB Asfalistiki, a member of the Eurobank Group, on Friday announced that it delivered a firefighting training simulator to the Cyprus fire service, strengthening their long-standing cooperation on fire safety.

According to the announcement, the initiative forms part of a 25-year collaboration between the two organisations, reflecting their continued commitment to promoting fire prevention and safety across Cyprus.

Moreover, this cooperation has now expanded into the field of firefighter training, while also targeting awareness and preparedness among the wider public.

The delivery included an Intelligent System Training (I.T.S) simulator, described as an advanced system that provides realistic and safe practical training in firefighting.

Through the use of advanced technology, the system enables trainees to develop firefighting skills, enhancing both their readiness and confidence in real-life conditions.

The training programme is designed not only for firefighters but also for the general public, including children.

The system also incorporates environmentally friendly operation, offering a modern and responsible approach to fire safety education.

“At ERB Asfalistiki, we consistently invest in initiatives that strengthen prevention and preparedness, actively supporting the people who stand on the front line protecting life, property and the natural wealth of our country,” said Andreas K. Stylianou, General Manager of ERB Asfalistiki.

The company stated that this initiative “reaffirms the company’s commitment to the practical support of the Cyprus fire service“.

“Strengthening training and ensuring proper preparation contributes to the continuous improvement of firefighters’ effectiveness,” it added.

“This effort highlights the critical role of firefighters, whose work centres on the protection of life, property and the natural environment in Cyprus,” the announcement concluded.
