Discover Airlines connects Cyprus with Frankfurt and Munich

Hermes Airports on Monday announced the arrival of Discover Airlines at Larnaca Airport, marking the Lufthansa Group carrier’s first-ever operations to Cyprus.

The airline, a member of the Lufthansa Group, launched flights connecting Cyprus with the major German hubs of Frankfurt and Munich, the announcement mentioned.

It added that the flights offer passengers “more convenient and efficient travel options to and from Germany’s major cities.”

Hermes pointed out that Discover Airlines is positioned as the group’s quality leisure airline, operating from Frankfurt and Munich with a fleet of more than 30 aircraft and serving over 60 leisure destinations worldwide.

Flights to and from Larnaca Airport are operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, featuring both Economy Class and Business Class cabins.

The airline’s fares and baggage policies are fully aligned with those of Lufthansa, ensuring consistency across the group’s network.

“In Business Class, passengers enjoy enhanced comfort, including a guaranteed free middle seat, as well as complimentary meals and beverages,” the company said.

“In Economy Class, complimentary water is provided, while a wide selection of snacks and drinks is available for purchase through the onboard bar,” it added.

What is more, free in-flight entertainment is available on personal devices via the Onboard Cloud platform.

In addition, as part of the Lufthansa Group, passengers have access to streamlined booking and connections through Frankfurt and Munich to global destinations.

“As the dedicated leisure airline of the Lufthansa Group, we are delighted to add Cyprus to our flight schedule as of Sunday, March 29,” said Marco Gotz, Chief Commercial Officer of Discover Airlines.

He also stated that this “further expands our Mediterranean portfolio with a destination that is highly popular among German and European travellers“.
