A special evening brings together wine, music and conversation for a multi-sensory and inspiring take on wine culture. The GRAPES / Sips & Scenes on April 5 in Nicosia is organised by Glorious Grapes and granazi and features a curated selection of 34 wines from 11 wineries across Spain, Greece and Cyprus.
Held at ARTos House in Nicosia, the event will be a gathering for wine tasting, vinyl DJ sets and conversation. All featured wines will be available at the bar for tasting, by the glass or by the bottle. Plus, a limited-capacity private tasting of six wines, curated by Stavros Zacharia, will take place inside the ancient tomb of ARTOS House. Advanced bookings for this experiences are made via www.klisto.com.cy.
And if you like what you taste, the Grapes/Shop will have bottles and gift boxes to take home. Apart from wine, short conversations on wine today and music, the event will also have freshly made pasta by Chefs Andrew and Imogen.
Kicking off at 4pm, the talks will begin one-and-a-half hours later. Maria Massoura and Andreas Georgiades will talk about What is Wine? while Loukas Papaloucas and Ploutis Sozou, from Mystes Winery and Ezousa Winery respectively, will get together for the Indigenous and International Grape Varieties in the Cypriot Vineyard.
Panayiotis Mentzis from Zanettos Tavern and Michalis Vryonidis from Cascadeur Bar in Lympia will discuss Cypriot Wine in Gastronomy: Past, Present and Future before Zambartas Winery’s Charis Evangelou talks about Cypriot wine abroad. The evening will close with Indegenous Varieties of Cyprus at 7.30pm. Cheers to a tasteful evening!
