Part of a two-storey building collapsed in Yermasoyeia shortly before 1.30pm on Saturday, with initial reports indicating that one person may be trapped and several others injured.
Emergency services rushed to the scene, including ambulances, members of the fire brigade, police and EMAK.
The area has been cordoned off as rescue operations continue.
Authorities have not yet confirmed the number of casualties, though reports suggest that at least one person may be trapped under the debris, while others have sustained injuries.
