Police arrested a 41-year-old woman at Larnaca Airport in the early hours of Tuesday after money was taken from a dead woman’s bank account.

She reportedly withdrew €17,500 from the account between July 21 and 25, 2022, according to investigators.

The Larnaca Criminal Investigation Department continues inquiries.

She is expected to appear before court for a remand order.

Police are also examining bank records and digital traces to establish the full extent of the alleged offences.
