The cause of death of the man who was found dead on the coast of Akamas remains undetermined after an autopsy of his body was carried out on Thursday.
According to the police, the post mortem examination was conducted at the Paphos general hospital by state pathologist Nicholas Charalambous, but did not allow for the determination of his cause of death due to the decomposed condition of the body.
Authorities have taken samples and other proof to identify the individual and are currently looking into the possibility that the corpse belongs to a person on the missing persons register.
The man’s body had been discovered at the Akamas coast at on by a fisherman man who was fishing in the area on Monday morning.
Investigations into the case are ongoing.
