The dynamic flute duo Duo Noïma teams up with the outstanding Cypriot pianist Rami Sarieddine in the Cyprus Symphony Orchestra’s next concert. Sharing a genuine musical connection, the three artists feel eager to share with the audience a concert full of exuberance and sparkle this April 23 and 24.
Two concerts are coming up in Paphos and Nicosia, respectively, treating audiences to a varied repertoire. Inspired by a variety of musical styles, their programme spans Baroque elegance to contemporary pulse, highlighting the flute’s kaleidoscopic voice as well as the unique interplay between the two flutes and the piano.
From Georg Philipp Telemann’s refined counterpoint to the colour-rich French tradition of Claude Debussy, Charles-Marie Widor and Georges Bizet, clarity of line and impressionistic lyricism shine through. Jazz-inflected brilliance from Claude Bolling, rhythmic drive by Guillaume Connesson, and tango passion from Astor Piazzolla complete this vibrant stylistic journey!
