Greek lender Alpha Bank has announced that it completed a significant share buyback, acquiring millions of its own shares through the Athens Stock Exchange (ATHEX).
The bank, as stated in an official announcement, said it had bought a total of 2,148,573 own shares during the period from April 14, 2026 to April 17, 2026.
It confirmed that the transactions were carried out under the share buyback programme approved by the Extraordinary General Meeting of shareholders held on June 12, 2025, and in continuation of its announcement dated September 17, 2025.
The acquisitions were completed at an average purchase price of €3.7676 per share, with the total cost reaching €8,094,958.07.
Following these transactions, Alpha Bank reported that it now holds 60,997,910 treasury shares.
This represents 2.6346 per cent of its total share capital, according to the announcement.
