Universal Golf Enterprises Plc on Friday announced that it secured planning approval for a photovoltaic park development as part of a broader reassessment of its land use strategy.
The company said the update follows its previous communication dated December 22, 2025, regarding the exploration of an alternative strategy for land utilisation.
According to the announcement, the newly obtained planning permission allows the company to move forward with the potential development of a solar energy project on land it currently owns.
“We will continue to explore this alternative strategy, further pursuing the licensing process, before a final decision is made on the company’s strategy,” the announcement concluded.
According to company material, Universal Golf Enterprises Plc was originally incorporated in Cyprus in 2011, “for the sole purpose of developing and operating the Limassol Hills” golf resort.
