A newborn kitten was rescued by a Nicosia district emergency response team during heavy rainfall in Dhali on Sunday, authorities said on Monday.

According to alphanews.live, three teams were deployed to the Idalion area to clear blocked gutters and deal with problems in the storm drain system.

During works, one of the teams found a kitten in the road and an employee with a nursing cat took it home to care for it.
