A fire broke out in a flat in a three-storey building in Yeroskipou on Monday night, caused by an unattended pan on the cooker.

The fire brigade said the fire was reported at 11.08pm and two fire engines were dispatched. The fire was brought under control at 11.25pm.

The tenant managed to exit the ground floor flat safely.

The fire damaged part of the kitchen counter, as well as kitchen appliances, while the smoke affected the flat’s wall paint.
