Four people were arrested during overnight police operations across Cyprus, including three for the illegal possession of tobacco products, police said on Friday.
Officers stopped and checked 529 drivers and 175 passengers, while 42 premises were inspected, resulting in two complaints.
Traffic checks led to 273 reports for various violations, including 139 for speeding.
Police also identified 11 cases already under investigation and impounded eight vehicles.
A total of 81 alcohol tests resulted in eight complaints, while five preliminary drug tests produced two positive results.
Police said they would be enhancing daily operations with increased patrols, targeted checks and swift actions to prevent crime and ensure public safety.
